Peter Lippmann and Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin collaborated with photographer Peter Lippmann to create portraits of women from art masterpieces.  It is genius how Lippmann incorporated the signature Christian Louboutin shoe in the portraits.  The collection is Fall/Winter 2011.

'Arrangement in Grey and Black- The Artist's Mother' - James Whistler (1871)

'Portrait of a Girl' - Jean Baptiste Camille Corot (1796–1875)

'Madame d’Antin' - Jean-Marc Nattier (1738)

'Saint Dorothy' - Francisco De Zurbaran (1640-1650)

'Portrait d'une negresse' - Marie-Guillemine Benoist (1800)

'Elizabeth of Austria' - Francois Clouet (c.1571)

  1. I love these! Where did you find this? I have been trying out lots of photo sites on the internet but have not gotten anywhere near putting something like this together. You hardly see the shoes until you take a second look. very impressed.

  2. Hi Ann, I know, I did not see the shoes until I took a second look as well. I really think that Peter Lippman is genius to recreate these art masterpieces and incorporate them into an advertising campaign!
