Good morning ladies, Happy Thursday!
My friend Sandi lives in Temecula, California and has this amazing fig tree in her backyard!
In Sandi's words....
"Our incredibly beautiful and abundant fig tree is yielding a bumper crop this year. In addition to feeding every bird within a 50-mile radius, I'm now on making my SECOND batch of "Very Provence Fig Preserves." Special thanks to Marina Koulomzin for the recipe. It's a big hit wherever I go! How can you go wrong with figs, sugar, ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, balsamic vinegar and lemon zest? You can't! C'mon over for a taste..."
VERY PROVENCE FIG JAM Cook equal parts sugar and figs (peels and all), and add, no, go to town with lemon zest, vanilla, clove, balsamic vinegar, cinnamon and ginger grated in a cheese grater, and serve ...you'll love it on meat, cheese or plain bread.
Not only does Sandi make an amazing Fig Jam but she is an amazing person. Sandi Kimmel is a singer-songwriter, author, inspirational speaker and music healer.
You must visit her site to read about all that she does!!! One awesome lady!
