Forty Carrots at Bloomingdale's.

Even if I am not shopping at Bloomingdale's  I love to go have lunch at "Forty Carrots."  "Forty Carrots" is the pretty little cafe at Bloomingdale's.
The food is really good and it is not too pricey. "Forty Carrots" also has the BEST frozen yogurt.  What is nice about having lunch there is that you can eat lunch and then go and walk around "Bloomies" and then when you are done either shopping or just browsing you are definitely ready to go back and have the best frozen yogurt .  They also make the best smoothies.  During the winter months when you are looking for an indoor activity it is really fun to visit Bloomingdale's and have a nice lunch.  And the great thing is you don't have to walk into the mall at all. (at least on Long Island)

The best eyeshadow that I ever used!

 Last year my daughter and I were in Saks in NYC.  My daughter uses Christian Dior mascara.  A little pricey but she loves it!  When she purchased her mascara they gave me a sample of eyeshadow.  I have been using it for a year and loving it!  Well I used it up.  We were in Bloomingdales last night and walked over to the Christian Dior counter to inquire about the shadow.  It was $59.  Something that I would never ever spend on eyeshadow.  BUT......tomorrow night is my 40 year high school reunion.  I am doing my own make-up and this shadow is very dramatic and it stays and stays and stays.  So, lucky me, my daughter treated me to it.  She insisted that I get it to wear for the reunion.   I'm a CVS make-up person.  I find that most make-up is the same.  Foundations, lipsticks, mascara.  But this Christian Dior eyeshadow is really beautiful.   Our Beauty Advisor,  Diane Giordanella,  was so knowledgeable and helpful.  Diane said that the shadow will last a year because you don't have to keep reapplying it.   Thank you Diane for your help!  I love the shadow.
p.s.  you can dampen the applicator for a more dramatic look.

Hi lovely ladies,

I went to Bloomingdales this weekend.  Actually just for lunch.  They have the best affordable lunches.  The most delicious salads.  We had an oriental pasta salad and a chick pea salad.  Yum!  It is so nice to sit there and eat.  And then after you walk around Bloomies for a little you can go back and get the best frozen yogurt. 

Anyway let's get down to business.  We went upstairs to browse and look at all of the things that I am not going to buy.   Fell in love with  "Ted Baker London."  One item is nicer than the next!  I snapped away to show you everything that is now on my wish list.  What do you think ladies?
