(I remember as a young girl going to Macy's with my dear grandmother.  When I was in Macy's yesterday and saw the original wooden escalator it brought back so many memories.  I thought about going to the Automat with my Nanny after Macy's.  I was mesmerized by how you got your sandwich and dessert from behind a little glass door!  As the article states it was somehow very futuristic!)

Hermes and Vans

Style expert Robert Verdi had an extensive collection of vintage Hermes scarves.  He wanted to do something very creative with the collection so he recruited the company Vans.  He asked Vans to make him a few pairs of custom slip-ons with his Hermes scarves. Vans took the Hermes classic silk scarves and put them together with their signature rubber street soles.  The result....pretty cool......
