Hair and make-up fun before the wedding

For my step-daughter's wedding the bridal party and women in the immediate family all got ready together in the bridal suite.  We had so much fun!  Hair, make-up, and catered food all day!  Although I was too excited to really eat anything.
Our hair stylist was Lauren Labatto of Cheveux Day Spa and  Salon in Woodmere, N.Y.   She is truly professional and extremely talented.  Lauren transformed the heads of ten women including the bride.  It was a day long process.  One by one we sat in front of the mirror and Lauren worked her magic.  Some of us were curled, some of us got updos.....whatever style we chose with Lauren, our hair came out great.
When we finished getting our hair done we scooted over to another chair to have make-up artist Kristin Mavroson do our make-up.  Kristin freelances and has many celebrity clients.  She has worked with Sarah Jessica Parker, Bill Clinton, Michelle Obama, etc..........  Another truly professional helping us to become gorgeous for the big event.  When Kristin applied those lashes to our eyes it really changed the whole look!

Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian

Hi my ladies,
So, what do you think of the Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries divorce.  Or do you not really care!  I have to be honest with you and tell you that I love watching "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."  I think that they are funny and have a lot of fun.  And yes they also make a lot of money.  I think one reason that they do is because they have Kris Jenner behind them.
I have always admired Kris Jenner for her spunk and for how full of life she is!  I realize that it must not be that hard when you also have a lot of money.  But I still love to watch her and her families antics.
Kris is, of course, totally defending her daughter.  She says that it was such a hard decision for Kim to make to file for divorce.   Everyone is saying that the wedding was totally staged and just done to make millions of dollars.  And the decision to get divorced is just at the time that Kris Jenner is promoting her book.  I find that really hard to believe.  I think Kris Jenner is better than that.  I believe that Kim made a mistake.  And she probably wasn't happy even before the wedding but went through with it anyway.  I'm not defending what she did.  But I think it is a good possibility of what happened.  Also, I believe that they did make money on airing the wedding.  How could they not?  I read that she is donating all of the wedding gifts.  Kris Jenner also says that her daughter will not return the 20.5 carat diamond ring which is worth $2 million.  And Kris Humphries was hoping to get it back.  Ladies, do you think that Kim should return the ring to Kris????  I think that the ring should be returned since this marriage lasted only 72 days!!!!!
Kris Jenner is really under a lot of fire but is out there defending her daughter.  Kim is said to be in hiding.  And Rob is on Dancing with the Stars!  Last week Bruce Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick and their baby, Mason were in the audience cheering on Rob.  I wonder who will be there this week.  This could only up the ratings for DWTS.  So we know the show is happy with that!  There is no way that Rob Kardashian will get booted off besides I think that he is doing a great job!

The bride, the maid of honor and me!

Happy Monday!
How did you like the cold weather this weekend?  Saturday was a mess here in New York.  We had the first snow of the season.   The sun was beautiful on Sunday but still too cold for me.  I am a summer person!
Today I am going for my yearly mammo-sono.  Needless to say I get a little nervous.   And then after today I will make an appointment for my breast mri which I have put off for more than two years.
In the meanwhile I wanted to post a happy pic of the bride, the maid of honor and me!

Wedding Weekend!

Ladies, how was  your weekend?  I hope that it was a nice one.  Well it was "The Wedding Weekend." My step-daughter got married!!!!  What a wedding!  The wedding took place at "Flowerfields" in St. James, Long Island.  It was spectacular!  From the rehearsal dinner on Friday night to the brunch on Sunday morning and the amazing wedding in-between.  Everything was perfect.  My step-daughter was such a beautiful bride and wore the most gorgeous gown.  Her new husband looked so handsome.  My daughter was such a beautiful maid of honor and wore such an awesome navy blue gown.  I am posting some pics now but there are more to follow!

Happy Monday!

It's been a busy weekend doing errands for the upcoming wedding.  The weather cooperated.  It was supposed to be a washout but it was summerlike.  Sunday was very, very humid.  But, honestly I like humid over bitter cold.  We went to the salon to see how we would wear our hair for the wedding.  In the salon there was this beautiful fall arrangement done by a designer from Manhattan named "Vanity."  That was the only name I was given.
Hope your weekend was nice!

So colorful and fall-like!
